Bradleys Head lookouts and a controlled walk or Middle Head heritage focus — pay fees correctly, read multi-operator parking signs, do not overstack.
Some groups will drive. That is fine — just do not pretend parking is free, infinite or always NPWS-managed. NSW National Parks publishes vehicle day-use at some Mosman precincts (including Bradleys Head) and a different hourly/daily structure at Chowder Bay. Harbour Trust and council lots may not be covered by an NPWS pass. Verify live amounts on the official visitor-info page; this plan is not a fee table.
Pick either a Bradleys lookouts / Chowder walk day or a Middle Head heritage day as primary. The other becomes a short bonus only if buffer remains. Do not stack North Head onto the same first drive day.
Sunset photography is excellent here — only if you protect exit lighting and published park hours (sunrise to sunset unless alerts say otherwise).

Arrive Bradleys Head
Pay the published vehicle fee if required (machines / Park’nPay as signed). Lookouts first — Bridge and Opera House intimacy from bush — before you invent extra kilometres.
0:45–2:00
Primary walk decision
Either stay on easy lookout platforms or commit to a formed Bradleys–Chowder segment with a clear turnaround. Do not start a long connecting walk after 3 pm if sunset is the goal.
2:00–2:45
Food reset
Mosman / Chowder corridor. Reassess heat, parking time limits and energy. A pass that covers limited hours does not grant infinite lingering.
Afternoon
Middle Head short heritage OR finish
Only if the group is still sharp and parking rules allow a second lot. Otherwise call it a successful lookout day and leave before dark on the track.
